In a new study into heart rate variability in patients suffering from Coronary Artery disease, two exercise modalities were tested. One group carried out land-based exercises while the other worked out in water. Heart rate variability was tested before and after the exercise intervention. Even though the differences between the tow groups were small, some parameters point out that Heart Rate Variability in the Aquatic group had improved more.<\/p>\n

The researchers conclude that Aquatic Therapy improves Heart Rate Variability parameters and is a safe and this intervention may be beneficial for patients with CAD.<\/p>\n
